Please do not feed the Animals!
The zoo animals are not allowed to be fed independently by the visitors. Animals begging for food may not be fed under any circumstances. Most of the animals are food sensitive, and the wrong food could be life-threatening for them!
Feeding by visitors
Feedings supervised by our keepers are the exception, whereby food will be provided.
Lori Feeding by Visitors
The Loris, little multi-colored parrots, lives in an accessible aviary inside the elephant house, where they can daily be fed with nectar from 11 a.m.
Penguin Feeding by visitors
After the seal training (11:40 a.m. and 3:40 p.m.) children and adults are invited to feed the penguins with herrings.
Elephant Feeding by Visitors
Visitors are allowed to feed the elephants under supervision. Fruits and vegetables will be provided by the keepers. Please note the notice boards in and outside the elephant house.
