Opening Times

The zoo is open every day of the year from 9am.

The ticket office closes
from April to September at 6pm,
in October and March at 5pm,
from November to February at 4pm,
Closing times may be changed at short notice depending on the hours of daylight.

The animal houses close half an hour after the ticket office closes; the grounds must be vacated one hour after the ticket office closes.

The horse museum Hippomaxx is open daily from 9am and closes from April to September at 6pm, in October and March at 5pm, from November to February at 4pm.

The dolphinarium is open daily from 10am and closes at the same time as the animal houses. Starting times for the performances are shown on noticeboards.

Dogs permitted!
Dogs may be taken into the zoo on a short lead, but they can not be taken into the petting zoo, the tropical house and the accessible monkey enclosure, because the animals move freely around the enclosures.
There are bowls with fresh water for your dog in many of the animal houses.
